Choose the channel that matches the question:
- For a booking photo, current jail match, old detention file, or arrest record, start with the Sonoma County arrest and mugshot hub and then contact Sheriff Records when needed.
- For an adult warrant, use the official portal described on the Most Wanted Fugitives page, or call the Central Information Bureau.
- For a recent arrest or citation event, check the Sheriff arrest log or the correct city agency. Those event sources do not by themselves prove current custody.
- For release status or notification, use the current jail roster and VINELink. Neither supplies the final court outcome.
- For a filed criminal case or disposition, contact Sonoma County Superior Court at 707-521-6500 or use its case portal.
- For a sentenced California state prisoner, use CDCR's CIRIS locator. Its Identification Unit is 916-445-6713 on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pacific, excluding holidays.
- For federal prison or immigration detention, use the Bureau of Prisons locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator System rather than the Sonoma jail search.
